The volume and variety of cyberattacks continues to grow, and the mounting pressure on CIOs, CSOs, and CISOs to report on their digital resiliency is unprecedented.

But there’s good news. According to a new IDC survey of cloud services providers, security system integrators, and independent software vendors, generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) shows enormous promise for revolutionizing cybersecurity.

Organizations can infuse GenAI into their security posture to boost SOC operations and leverage machine learning (ML) for vulnerability management, threat hunting, or cyber-recovery services. Ultimately, according to the survey, GenAI will provide insights into dynamically shifting risk, and configuration drift will add resiliency.
